The first is a small group of friends some or all of whom have visited Kenya before, fell in love with it, and now want to return but experience different areas or different camps within known areas. The other could be friends who have often talked of going on Safari but never got around to doing it. Having committed to the idea they are looking for the most unique experience highlighted by camps with limited occupancy and settled in private reserves allowing unsurpassed game viewing without the crowds. If you are either of these groups we encourage you to give this experience your consideration. You will not be disappointed.

Days 6- 7 Wildlife and the Ways of the Samburu

You have two full days to absorb the rhythm of this part of Africa. Part of that absorption can take place from your private verandah since the camp overlooks several waterholes where the famous Samburu elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, Oryx and Grevy's zebra gather to drink. There are, however, many other diverse activities vying for your attention. As well as the game drives that include Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo Springs National Reserve and West Gate Conservancy, the traditions and semi-nomadic heritage of the local Samburu people are an important part of the experience. Led by professional Samburu guides, guests enjoy a new dimension of this rightfully popular region; the feeling of exclusivity, of having an incredibly large area to themselves, and a high level of comfort and tailor-made services. Activities that make Saruni Samburu unique are the sketching safaris led by a professional artist and the "warrior in a week" program that teaches bush skills and animal tracking to the truly interested.
