Hoi An

Situated along the south central coast of Vietnam, Hoi An is an outstanding example of a well-preserved ancient town that has been designated a World Heritage Site. Hue is the former imperial capital of Vietnam and its mesmerizing tombs and mausoleums of the last emperors of Vietnam reveal fascinating insights into the lives of the imperial families and their subjects. One of the world's most fertile areas, the Mekong Delta is home to countless rice fields and tributaries across thousands of square miles of flat land. An overnight cruise in the Mekong Delta is definitely worthwhile, for the experience of awakening in the early morning to find floating markets and villages floating around you is incredible. On this Interlude you combine an overnight cruise with a trip up the Mekong by private car staying at excellent hotels along the way and immersing yourself in the local culture. At the end of the journey you can be transferred back to Saigon by car or take a speedboat the short distance to Phnom Penh in Cambodia and from there the temples of Angkor Wat near Siem Reap.

During this program you will shop for the ingredients in the marketplaces, cook the meals under expert supervision and get to eat the meals you have created.
